      • Forex: 24 hours a day from Sunday 22:00 GMT to Friday 22:00 GMT

      • Metals: Nearly 24 hours, with short breaks
      • Indices: Follow their respective exchange hours with extended hours for some indices
      • Share CFDs: Follow the trading hours of the exchange where the underlying stock is listed
      • Cryptocurrency CFDs: 24/7 trading for most cryptocurrencies

      Please note that liquidity and spreads may vary during different trading sessions, and some instruments may have reduced trading hours during holidays.

    • What is margin and how is it calculated?

      Margin is the amount of capital required to open and maintain a leveraged position. It serves as a deposit that protects against potential losses.

      How margin is calculated:

      Required Margin = Position Size / Leverage

      For example, if you want to open a 1 lot position (100,000 units) on EUR/USD with 1:100 leverage:

      Required Margin = $100,000 / 100 = $1,000

      Global Premier uses a tiered margin system where different instruments may have different leverage limits. We also monitor two important margin levels:

      • Margin Call Level: When your equity falls to 80% of required margin
      • Stop Out Level: When your equity falls to 50% of required margin, positions will be automatically closed

      Always ensure you have sufficient margin in your account to avoid margin calls or stop outs.
